Beginning January 1st, 2023, MASP will be offering two scholarships available to members.

Purpose: The MASP Exemplary Student Action Award is given to support an outstanding graduate student currently enrolled in a Montana school psychology training program or practicing in Montana as part of their internship, who participates in leadership activities to address the educational and/or mental health needs of children.

Applications will be open for this award starting January 1st of each year, and will be due by MAY 31st.

Montana Established Practice Award

Purpose: The Montana Established Practice Award is given to support an outstanding school psychology practitioner who has established a practice in Montana for five or more consecutive years. This individual must be a practicing school psychologist who has been working full-time (in-person) in a Montana public Pk-12 school, private school, and/or educational cooperative.

Applications will be open for this award starting January 1st of each year, and will be due by JUNE 30th.

Each summer, the Scholarship Committee will meet and vet applications (validating applicants entry based on initial eligibility criteria) and provide copies of top three recommended applications with approved application materials to the MASP Executive Council prior to the next EC meeting at which a final winner will be voted upon and selected for both scholarship awards. A monetary award of $500 will be awarded per scholarship. Requirements for receiving this award include publishing a portion of Impact Statement and/or biography of the winner in an article for the Montana School Psychologist newsletter. The monetary award, along with a framed certificate, will be presented to the selected winner at the annual MASP Fall Conference.
